CURRENT NEWS!

Updated August 30th 2010

Report from the gallops; With the Perth Sept meeting now only 3 and a bit weeks away I went to the stables last Friday to see how our 3 horses are shaping up. They all worked well - Max is the most forward of them, but this is to be expected as he's been back in work for 3-4 weeks more than the two Frontiers. Max is still a bit "buzzy" and can take a bit of a grip but the feeling in the yard and from David England who rode him at exercise is that he's now starting to settle better. Dancer was ridden by Sparky who reported that he was happy with the way he was coming to hand and Spirit too looked at ease with what he was asked to do and appears to have an improved head carriage from last season.

All 3 horses had been schooled by Paddy earlier in the week and each had received positive reports on their jumping. Dancer's target at Perth will be the 2m 4f novice chase on the first day with the other two horses looking to start their hurdling careers, although one of them may go in the bumper on the 2nd day (Thurs 23rd) before switching to obstacles thereafter. Final running plans will be determined by Nigel nearer the time.

So far, so good!
